That makes sense. We still don't like it, but it's more palatable now.

what do you all think is the best way to make a tulpa?
Avatar
bduddy #Diana# 7/26/2018 2:10 AM
talk to them until they talk back
Avatar
Please keep that sort of language out of this server
2:36 AM
It's not appropriate
Avatar
Doc's message has been deleted for being entirely inappropriate.
Avatar
yeah, thanks-
Avatar
so is there a place for nsfw talk?
10:16 PM
tulpa related of course
Avatar
I think you can talk about stuff like that if it's tulpa-related so long as you treat the topic maturely and don't go into explicit detail
10:18 PM
but there is no actual nsfw channel where explicit things are allowed
Avatar
fair enough
Avatar
NSFW is gross, anyway. (edited)
Avatar
so have there ever been cases of people creating tulpas for romantic needs?
Avatar
probably
10:31 PM
does it work or could something break the process of creating such a relationship
Avatar
Idk if it works
10:32 PM
creating someone just for the sake of putting them in a romantic relationship is very unethical
10:32 PM
downright cruel
Avatar
I was looking into something called a mind doll before I found out about tulpas, from what was written as to how it was to turn out was pretty much like a tulpa just made to be a waifu
10:36 PM
after I found the community I read into tulpas and realized what I might have ended up doing
10:36 PM
so I just chose to try and have a friend instead of a waifu
Avatar
sounds creepy
Avatar
ya I'd say so

Lol, of course people are creating tulpas for romantic needs
Avatar
Is it normal to literally not be able to imitate your tupps mind voice at all? It's like I have a mental block at doing her voice in my head (or irl), and she can't do mine at all either) is this normal?
6:08 AM
>mind doll >romantic needs this doesn't apply to people who initially had fully platonic intents but then slowly and mutually went in that direction right?
Avatar
Towaka ~暗い~ 7/27/2018 6:14 AM
not everyone is creating them for romantic needs ._.
Avatar
Deleted User 7/27/2018 6:14 AM
Y/ My host created me for romantic needs. And I'm fine. (edited)
Avatar
I didn't create mine for that
11:37 PM
She sort of just, we'll WE sort of... You know. drifted in that direction
Avatar
like normal people do ??? !! >: (((((((( ❗
Avatar
Yes, like normal people do. I just want to make it clear that I didn't make Abby with romantic intentions from the start, I did have a feeling it'd go there, but there's a difference from making a waifu and making a friend that eventually becomes your wife.

Avatar
how long have you been forcing for
Avatar
interesting
Avatar
one of my Tulpa's left today or, disappeared, if that's how you'd prefer to view it I might try and get them back one day, but I think one is enough, so I'm sort of debating it....
Avatar
Deleted User 7/29/2018 1:26 PM
I thought you have only one tulpa
Avatar
I had another
1:30 PM
I never mentioned them because like I said, I wasn't sure
1:30 PM
and they were really quiet
1:31 PM
I feel bad, but... I don't know

It's quite easy to get a character that talks to you. But it's up to you if you want to continue playing with them.
Avatar
...mmm...
Avatar
Abvieon {Alex} 7/29/2018 7:32 PM
The person who says they have a tulpa is the best judge as to whether or not they have a tulpa. I don't understand how someone could come to the conclusion "It's quite easy to get a character that talks to you" especially with the extremely limited information given
Avatar
Leviaiz [Reindasach] 7/30/2018 2:46 AM
it's quite easy for a tulpa to decide to disappear, if you doubt ze existence
2:47 AM
if you're not sure and do not want to do anything about it, hidden tulpas would still observe other members of systems, and often decide not to interfere with them
Avatar
See, that's the thing with tulpas. They only exist with the host.
Avatar
Leviaiz [Reindasach] 7/30/2018 2:48 AM
i am neutral on this matter. If you think bring out another systemmate is beneficial, you might have done it much earlier
Avatar
The host sees the tulpa, hears the tulpa, feels the tulpa, and to them, there is a tulpa. There is the assumption that there is a tulpa, regardless of whether there is one or not. The assumption is often the tulpa, if anything. And none can be elitist enough to claim they have the real deal.
Avatar
Leviaiz [Reindasach] 7/30/2018 2:49 AM
for now you may focus on keeping the system healthy, while you might miss that tulpa, you could concentrate on gathering what positive effects the tulpa left behind and embrace it
Avatar
claiming to have a tulpa means being elitist?
Avatar
Not at all. At least, that's not what I meant.
Avatar
Leviaiz [Reindasach] 7/30/2018 2:50 AM
no, debasing others because you claim to have tulpa is elitist
Avatar
Given the fact that it is possible to assume that you have a tulpa instead of actually having one, with both these situations presenting nearly identical effects, you can't claim to have a tulpa and that others are just assuming. Leviaiz put it in a much better way than I.
Avatar
Don't be an asshole. Seems pretty simple to me.
Avatar
I doubt it's about being an asshole, though. We care too much how people feel and not enough how they progress in their lives.
2:52 AM
These opinions are often shaped by personal experiences that form one's viewpoint of the world.
2:53 AM
Anyone who has ever went through moderate amounts of pain for a long while will tell you that, sometimes, it's better to suffer and advance rather than stay where you are and feel good. Because feelings are temporary in time. Sure, you can remember them, but only if you choose to, except in very morbid situations.
2:54 AM
Are they right? Maybe, maybe not. I hope you get my point.
Avatar
Leviaiz [Reindasach] 7/30/2018 2:55 AM
while "Don't be an asshole" is correct I think it's a bit of vague in this case. But adding something after the sentence, like "Don't be an asshole because your tulpas tell you to be so" is concise (edited)
2:57 AM
however in this case i couldn't address precisely which person or incident, so "Don't be an asshole" is valid for the goodness.
Avatar
Pretty sure it was Ysera's comment.

Leviaiz [Reindasach] 7/30/2018 2:59 AM
derp, i guess i'm at a wierd position to comment on ysera (edited)

because Rei was initially a walk-in with primary purpose of sex

Avatar
That's the thing. We don't need to involve ourselves so deeply with what others say. That's part of the point I was making.
Avatar
Leviaiz [Reindasach] 7/30/2018 3:01 AM
i get it
Avatar
Given the fact that it is possible to assume that you have a tulpa instead of actually having one, with both these situations presenting nearly identical effects, For the record, I don't really believe in this. It's like a religious tulpamancy belief.
5:38 AM
The fact that they have "nearly identical effects" should tip you off that they are (or are about to be in the assuming case) the same thing.
Avatar
Towaka ~暗い~ 7/30/2018 5:39 AM
Well if you fully believe you have a tulpa you usually end up getting one anyways.
Avatar
Assuming you have a tulpa and going about tulpa-y business will quickly end up with you having a tulpa, yeah.
5:40 AM
Hence the old "Assume sentience from the start" suggestion/methodology.
Avatar
Towaka ~暗い~ 7/30/2018 5:40 AM
Yup.
Avatar
For a short period of time you may not really have a tulpa when you believe you do, but you literally shouldn't worry about that. Doubt is the opposite of this effect.
Avatar
I've never assumed they had nearly identical effects.
8:22 AM
A lot of my observations of tulpamancers on reddit and info were to key into whether there were similar or different effects between belief and actuality.
8:23 AM
I concluded that there are tons of differences.

assuming sentience from the start only makes people feel quilty

Having tulpa, you are more than one person in a sense.

yeah, but when you actually do it
Avatar

Cofronting, you are more than one person at one time.
